One of the well-known teams around the world, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) is currently looking for a skipper for IPL 2025 as they released their talismanic captain Faf du Plessis ahead of the auction.

Under Faf’s leadership, RCB managed to qualify for the playoffs but they failed to clinch the title in the last season as well. With Virat Kohli who has already stepped down from captaincy, RCB will be looking for the next skipper who can guide them for their maiden IPL title in the upcoming IPL 2025 season.

Rajat Patidar can be RCB in IPL 2025

Rajat Patidar has cemented his name in the side after his fabulous performance in the previous edition of the Indian Premier League. After that, he was named as the skipper of Madhya Pradesh in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025.

He led his side to reach the final where they lost against Mumbai. In the match, he scored an unbeaten 81 off 40 balls which ended up in a losing cause. Hence, we can expect him to lead the side in the upcoming season.

Krunal Pandya

It could be a quite surprise like out-of-box pick but Krunal Pandya is also a good captain currently available in the RCB set-up. The left-handed cricketer has led Baroda in the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament while Hardik Pandya, Mumbai Indians captain, was also in the team.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru signed the left-arm spinner for his tactical brilliance as he has a good economy of under 7 in the Chinnaswamy Stadium. So we can expect him to lead the side along with the spin department which will be a key to unlock the franchise’s full potential.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Bhuvneshwar Kumar will easily fit into the side as a skipper. RCB has lacked this kind of experience in their bowling department in the last few years. The veteran cricketer has picked 181 wickets in the cash-rich contest and has an economy of well under 8.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar is always open to listening to ideas which will help the side to make better decisions on the field. Having the experience of leading Sunrisers Hyderabad, Bhuvi would be a good choice for RCB to lead the side in IPL 2025.
