Harry Brook has pulled out his name from the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. There is no official announcement from the IPL but the English cricketer has posted it on social media platforms.

Harry Brook’s decision resulted in a two-year ban from the Indian Premier League, as the rule was questioned ahead of the IPL auction 2025. He was bought by the Delhi Capitals for INR 6.25 crores.

As the English cricketer will miss the upcoming Indian Premier League, Delhi Capitals will be looking to get a replacement ahead of the tournament, which is going to kick off in a few days. Hence, let’s have a look at the three possible replacements for Delhi Capitals before stepping into the league.

3. Dewald Brevis

The young cricketer from South Africa, Dewald Brevis has often been known for his fearless batting among the fans. But the lad didn’t live up to the expectations after having a successful U19 T20 World Cup.

However, Dewald Brevis has shown some good stints with the bat in the recently concluded SA20 tournament. His flexibility to bat at any position makes him a valuable asset for the side. Moreover, his experience with Mumbai Indians will also help him to handle the high-pressure situation in this tournament.

2. Ben Duckett

In recent times, the England cricketer has been in fabulous form across all forms of the game. With his consistency, Ben Duckett has cemented his place in England’s set-up.

He will be a great addition for Delhi Capitals as he can single handedly take away the game from the opposition. In the recent Champions Trophy tournament, he was the shining star for England. He also has the capability to get settled in the Indian conditions, likewise in the white-ball tour against India.

1. Michael Bracewell

The all-rounder from New Zealand, Michael Bracewell has been one of the finest performers for New Zealand in the Champions Trophy 2025. In the final against India, Michael Bracewell scored an unbeaten 53 off just 40 balls with the help of 3 fours and 2 sixes.

And, with the ball, the latter picked the wicket of Virat Kohli and Axar Patel for his team. He could be an asset for Delhi Capitals as they don’t have any foreign cricketers to bat, coming down the order and also make valuable contributions with the ball.
