Gujarat Titans’ left-arm orthodox spin bowler Sai Kishore lashed out on commentator Nick Knight after Gujarat Titans’ win over the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens last night.

Afghanistan spin bowler Rashid Khan is one of the world’s best spin bowler, but his form in the IPL 2025 season has been questionable. Prior to the Knight Riders match, Rashid Khan has only 4 wickets in 7 matches. However, he stepped-up big time against KKR where he took 2 wickets for 25 runs at the Eden Gardens.

Rashid’s form over the season has led to massive criticism from the fans and the cricket experts that he might be past his prime already. However, Sai Kishore, who has been Gujarat’s standout spin bowler in the IPL 2025, has backed the leg-spin bowler.

During the post match interview, Sai Kishore hit out on commentator Nick Knight to back the Afghanistan all-rounder. “He’s one of the best T20 bowlers in the world. He’s getting his wicket-taking knack back. As a team, we don’t doubt his abilities, I don’t know what it’s like in the commentary box. We all believe in him and I still believe he’s the best T20 bowler in the world,” Kishore said.

Meanwhile, R Sai Kishore himself is having his career best IPL season yet. Playing for the Gujarat Titans, Sai Kishore has been the leading spin bowler for the Titans while Rashid Khan is having an off-day. The Tamil Nadu cricketer has 12 wickets in 8 innings at an economy rate of 8.22.

Gujarat Titans at the top of the IPL 2025 points table

Meanwhile, with their win against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Gujarat Titans have solidify their position at the top of the IPL 2025 points table. So far, the Shubman Gill led side has played 8 matches this season in which they have won 6 matches and lost 2 matches, the two defeats coming against the Punjab Kings and the Lucknow Super Giants.

The Titans’ next match will be against the Rajasthan Royals, another team who have been struggling in the tournament so far. The match will be played on April 28, Monday at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
