Brisbane Heat comes into the new season after a comprehensively dominant 54-run victory over Sydney Sixers in the final match of the last season. Brisbane Heat, with its brigade of explosive batsmen and a sound bowling unit, is a side to be looked out for.

Most of the core players of the championship-winning squad have been retained while some strategic changes have been made. Winning the competition twice on the trot, the Heat is not making too many changes to the team, hoping to win back-to-back titles during the Big Bash League 2025 season.

Tom Alsop is added to the Brisbane Heat to strengthen the batting depth and give them an experienced option for the middle order. Brisbane Heat retained a core group of players that contains experience and youthful energy, and for this season, this team has become a much more powerful side.

Brisbane Heat Key Players BBL 2024/25

1.Marnus Labuschagne

A compact batter and a part-time leg-spinner, Marnus Labuschagne will provide solidity to the batting list for Brisbane. He has 543 runs under his belt in his BBL career and would be very handy while anchoring innings, especially in nerve-wracking games. He has taken 12 wickets as well at an economy of 9.64.

Labuschagne would make an excellent all-rounder for Heat.

2.Xavier Bartlett

Xavier Bartlett was one of Brisbane’s better bowling assets last season. He has got a good swing on offer and is very good at the right breaks. In the previous season, he took 20 wickets at an economy rate of 7.5.

3. Colin Munro

The experienced New Zealand batter is one of the most experienced and key players for the Brisbane Heat. He is known for his destructive batting with a super strike rate. His last season for Heat was exceptional, Where he scored 224 runs in just 7 innings with a super strike rate of 140+. He was able to score 2 half-centuries also. 

4. Usman Khawaja

Usman Khawaja who is one of the experienced player for the Heat this season in the BBL, He will be a key player for Brisbane Heat he already score 2100+ plus runs in just 69 innings with strike rate of over 131. He has also 2 hundreds and 12 fifties in his name.
Last season was not good for them but this season cloud be a turning point for Usman Khawaja, depending on his experience and leadership quality could be a vital role for Heat.

5. Jimmy Peirson

The wicketkeeper-batsman Jimmy Peirson, with his experience, gets the team to finish off the innings. He was significant when his team needed runs last season. Total 1600+ runs at a strike rate of 121 while stabilizing the team when they needed a strong finish.

He has also scored 5 half-centuries to his credit and adds a much needed depth as well as balance to the team.
