After a season full of entertainment, the Entertainers Cricket League (ECL) is back with the 2025 season. But before we hit the ground running, the action happened behind closed doors in the players’ auction held on Monday, 13th January 2025.
The Haryanvi Hunters were crowned the champions of the inaugural season of the Entertainers Cricket League (ECL) in 2024 beating the Lucknow Lions in the final. The tournament was a massive hit and it is back for the 2nd season.
The new season is gonna be even greater with three new teams in the competition. One of them is the Chennai Smashers. CSK in the IPL has set a huge standard for any teams based out of Chennai and the Chennai Smashers will have a lot of hopes to live-up to.
The Chennai Smashers splashed huge money on Gulshan Nain as they roped him in for 200 Lakh in the auction. The other notable inclusions includes the likes of Lakshay Kaushik, Abhishek Kapur, Nishaant Williams and obviously the most famous name in the squad is Thugesh, the man with 1.9 Million followers on Instagram.
