23-years-old Harshit Rana is currently the talk of town as the youngster got unlikeliest of debut and helped Team India win the 5 match T20I series with still one match to go in Mumbai.

Harshit Rana got a call to make his T20I debut for Team India as a concussion substitute after all-rounder Shivam Dube was subbed off after he got hit by a bouncer on the last over of India’s inning.

Harshit Rana took 3 wickets in the match in his 4 overs conceding 33 runs. He got his first wicket in just the 2nd ball of his T20I career. He later got the big wickets of Jacob Bethell and Jamie Overton to help Team India won the match by 15 runs.

Leg-spin bowler Ravi Bishnoi also played a crucial role in the match, taking 3 crucial wickets of Ben Duckett, Jos Buttler and Jofra Archer.

Varun Chakravarthy also bowled the most important over of the match that certainly played quite a big role in turning around the match. Chakravarthy got the wicket of Harry Brook and Brydon Carse within 3 balls.

Earlier, it was England captain Jos Buttler who won the toss and opted to bowl first. And they got off to a flying start as Saqib Mahmood took 3 wickets maiden in just the 2nd over of the inning.

But, the likes of Abhishek Sharma, Rinku Singh and most importantly the duo of Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube played crucial knocks to help India post 181 runs. Hardik and Dube both scored 53 runs each with strike rate of 176.67 and 155.88.

India win the T20I series

With this, the series is already wrapped-up before even the 5th T20I to be played in Mumbai as India have won 3 out of 4 matches. It all started in Kolkata followed by Chennai and now Pune. England meanwhile won in Rajkot but as they head to Mumbai, they will hope to just make themselves proud, which they have failed so far in this series.

ODI series to start from 6 February

Meanwhile, after we are done with the T20I series with the Mumbai match, focus will then shift to the 3 match ODI series starting from 6th February. This one holds utmost importance for both the teams as this will serve as their warm-up for the ICC Champions Trophy commencing from 19th February.

It will be a 3 match ODI series that will commence on 6th February in Nagpur. The following matches are to be played in Cuttack and and Ahmedabad on 9th and 12th February.
