Ahead of upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season, 5-times champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have assembled a great squad to challenge for the 6th title. The IPL 2025 season will start from 14 March and the final will be played on 25 May.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) crashed out ‘just’ in the IPL 2024 season after losing their final match of the league phase against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) who instead qualified for the next round of the tournament.
Going into the IPL 2025 Mega Auction, Chennai Super Kings retained captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ravindra Jadeja, Shivam Dube, Matheesha Pathirana and MS Dhoni.

In the auction, their biggest buy was Afghanistan spin bowler Noor Ahmed, whom they bought for 10 crore INR. They also brought back former player Ravichandran Ashwin for whopping 9.75 crore INR to bring back the duo of Jadeja and Ashwin together once again.

Openers
The opening duo for CSK will be off their captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway, who have been a successful opening duo for the franchise.
Middle-order
Rahul Tripathi, Shivam Dube, and Deepak Hooda is likely to be the middle-order for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). MS Dhoni will also be a middle-order batter but will most probably batting for the last few over only, like the tradition has been in the recent times.
All-rounders
As for the all-rounders, there is no doubt that Ravindra Jadeja and Ashwin will be playing for the CSK. Sam Curran is likely to be the other all-rounder who is likely to play for the yellow army.
Bowlers
In the bowling department, we have Sri Lankan pacer Matheesha Pathirana leading the attack while Noor Ahmed will fill the overseas players quota at number 11.
Impact Players
Chennai Super Kings may use the Khaleel Ahmed or Gurjapneet Singh as bowling impact player. Vijay Shankar or Ramakrishna Ghosh can be the batting impact player.
