The 5-times champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) began their IPL 2025 journey with a crucial win vs rivals Mumbai Indians. But hours after the match, CSK’s Khaleel Ahmed and captain Ruturaj Gaikwad have been alleged for ball tampering during the match.

5-times IPL champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) kicked-off their IPL 2025 campaign with a crucial 4 wickets win vs their arch-rival Mumbai Indians at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. First Noor Ahmad took 4 wickets on his debut then captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and Rachin Ravindra with the bat won the match for CSK.

However, just hours after the match, CSK duo Khaleel Ahmed and captain Ruturaj Gaikwad has been alleged for ball tampering.

In the video below, CSK’s pace bowler Khaleel Ahmed is clearly seen putting his hand in the pocket and bringing something out while he is joined by CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad. After that, Khaleel handed something to Rutu who then put it back in his pocket. Watch the video.

Noor Ahmad, Rachin Ravindra and Ruturaj Gaikwad Shines for CSK

Chennai Super Kings outclassed Mumbai Indians with a crucial win by 4 wickets against their rivals to start their campaign with a win at home in MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.

Noor Ahmad, who was making his CSK debut joining from Gujarat Titans, picked 4 wickets for 18 runs in his 4 overs with Khaleel taking 3 wickets to help CSK restrict Mumbai Indians for just 155 runs.

While the target looked like a cakewalk for the hosts, they were challenged by a IPL debutant Vignesh Puthur who in his IPL debut picked 3 crucial wickets of Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Dube and Deepak Hooda, making it difficult for the hosts.

But eventually Rachin Ravindra remained not out from the start to the end to see CSK win with a six off the first ball of the last over. Rachin remained unbeaten on 65 runs off 45 balls while captain Gaikwad scored 53 runs of 26 balls.
