Delhi Capitals Star Batter Back from Injury ahead of RCB Clash in IPL 2025

Great news for Delhi Capitals as their star batter from South Africa, Faf du Plessis is likely to make his comeback from injury in the upcoming clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on 27th April, Sunday.
The South African southpaw missed a couple of games after suffering an injury a few days back. However, considering the recent reports from News18, Jake Fraser-McGurk has come up with an update on Faf’s comeback.
Jake Fraser-McGurk confirmed it in the pre-match presentation, saying “I think he’s available tomorrow, from my understanding. He should be available for selection, my understanding”.
Faf du Plessis had opened for Delhi Capitals in three games of the first four matches he played. But the right-handed batter who missed the game after a thrilling outing against RCB is set to make his return against the same opposition on Sunday.
Moreover, Faf du Plessis was also seen practicing in the nets on Saturday which clearly indicates his return for Delhi Capitals during the battle against RCB. Delhi Capitals already dominated Royal Challengers Bengaluru in this season with a 6 wickets triumph at their own backyard.
Jake Fraser-McGurk on Axar Patel’s captaincy:
The young Australian batter also shared a lot about Axar Patel’s leadership in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. Despite his poor flow with the bat, Axar Patel often backed him across many occasions in this season.
“We were having dinner after a game and he says, ‘You’ve got so many more opportunities, there’s going to be so many more times that you play for this franchise that you can succeed for us.’ The good thing is that we’re winning and we’re winning well and we’re winning in ways that we want to win,” Jake Fraser-McGurk was quoted as saying by News18.
Currently, Delhi Capitals rely on the second spot on the league table with 6 wins from 8 matches they played. Faf’s comeback will be a great boost in the top-order for Delhi Capitals in the upcoming battle against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
