ECL 2024: The wait is finally over, and the Entertainers Cricket League 2024 has got its champion. The final of the tournament took place at IG Indoor Stadium in Delhi on Sunday, September 22. Elvish Yadav was against Anurag Dwivedi.

It was a clash between the two best teams of the tournament. Haryanvi Hunters and Lucknow Lions took on each other, and the final ended with a comprehensive win for Haryanvi Hunters. They continued their good form from the tournament and became the inaugural season champions.

It was the rematch of Qualifier 1 when these two teams met for the second time this season. But the game in the final was the last third meeting between these two teams. It started with Lucknow Lions winning the toss and electing to bat first.

But they had a horrible start as they lost their first four wickets for just 28 runs in two overs. Aman Deep Singh (46 off 17) and Ashish Kumar Meena (35 off 17) added 65 runs for the fifth wicket.

But as soon as that partnership was broken, Lucknow Lions lost the momentum. They finished with a below-par score of 131/9 in the first inning. Rohit Lamba bowled well for his 3/26, while Anujj Chaudhary took 2/8.

Chasing the score, captain Elvish Yadav (30 off 8) gave a flying start. Lalit Yadav (30* off 9) and Anujj Chaudhary (63* off 18) added an unbeaten 83 runs for the third wicket to take the team to the title.

It was expected to be a tight contest, but Haryanvi Hunters made it very easy. Firstly, with the ball, they restricted the strong batting unit of the Lucknow Lions for just 131 runs. That was a below-par score.

Then in the second inning, Haryanvi Hunters had another good day. Three of their top four batters made good contributions, which helped them reach the target with almost three overs to spare and lift the ECL title.

It was a clash between the Elvish Yadav army and the Anurag Dwivedi fanclub. Eventually, Elvish had the last laugh. He had a great game. In the first innings, Anurag batted and scored only 8 runs off 6 balls.

He also had a poor game with the ball, giving away 25 runs in just 1.1 overs. On the other hand, Elvish slammed five sixes in his 8-ball 30, which set the tone for his team to chase down the score and lift the trophy.
