“Ek Hi tension Tha” – Punjab Kings Mocks Rishabh Pant for Insulting Comment after IPL Auction
Punjab Kings performed brilliantly and won their second consecutive game in IPL 2025. They registered their second win against the Lucknow Super Giants by 8 wickets. Surprisingly, Punjab Kings mocks Rishabh Pant on social media after winning the match. After the victory, the kings posted a GIF on their official X account with the caption ‘tension Nah Loo.’ Although Kings did not mention any player in this, it did not take long for the fans to understand that this is a direct target at Rishabh Pant.
PBKS fans surely consider this revenge against Rishabh. During an interview after the IPL 2025 auction, Pant made an insulting comment about the Punjab Kings. When the interviewer asked Pant about his feelings during the IPL 2025 auction. Rishabh Pant said, “Mujhe andar se ek hi tension tha; woh tha Punjab. See, Punjab ke pass purse tha 112 CR, aur the second highest tha 82 CR. Jab Shreyas wahan chala gaya tha phir mujhe laga ki mai LSG me ja sakta hoon.”
That was a very irresponsible and insulting comment on the franchise by Pant. That’s the reason Punjab Kings mocks Rishabh Pant by posting that GIF.
Punjab Kings register win over Lucknow Super Giants
Punjab Kings gave an outstanding performance against Lucknow at the Ekana Cricket Stadium. They won the toss and chose to bowl first. Punjab’s bowlers performed brilliantly and shocked the Lucknow team in the first over when Mitchell Marsh got out on a golden duck. However, LSG’s batters Nicholas Pooran and Ayush Badoni played very responsible knocks for their team and scored 44 and 41 runs, respectively. Abdul Samad also played well and scored 27 runs in just 12 balls. Arshdeep Singh bowled well and took three wickets in the bowling department.
In the second inning of the match, Prabhsimran played a great innings for Punjab Kings after a long time as he scored 69 runs in just 34 balls. In Lucknow Super Giants‘ bowling, only Digvesh Rathi took two wickets, while the other bowlers went wicketless. Because of outstanding performance, Punjab Kings won the match by 8 wickets. Now, Punjab Kings have 2 wins in two matches, while LSG have one win in three games.
Moreover, Punjab Kings will face Rajasthan Royals on 5th April at their home grounds. On the other hand, Lucknow Super Giants will face Mumbai Indians on 4th April in their next game at the same venue.
