With the IPL 2024 concluded, the spotlight now shifts to the ICC T20 World Cup. The first batch of the Indian Cricket Team has already arrived in the USA. Led by Rohit Sharma, this initial group includes key players such as Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant, Axar Patel, and Shivam Dube. They departed for the USA on the midnight of May 25 and have now landed in New York, where they are currently enjoying a brief break before resuming training.

Players Arriving in Batches

Players who did not make it to the IPL playoffs were the first to travel to the USA. This batch, besides the mentioned players, also includes Kuldeep Yadav, Arshdeep Singh, Mohammed Siraj, Khaleel Ahmed, and Shubman Gill. The team will soon start their practice sessions in New York, preparing rigorously for the upcoming tournament.

Practice and Warm-up Matches

India’s preparation includes one warm-up match against Bangladesh scheduled for June 1. The ICC T20 World Cup kicks off on June 2, and as the date approaches, the rest of the squad members will join the camp. Hardik Pandya, who has been on a solo vacation, is expected to join the team ahead of their first training session.
