Former Pakistani Player Trolled Indian Cricket Team, Said “Today’s Players are Like KFC and McDonald”

As the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has kicked-off today in Karachi between hosts Pakistan and New Zealand, the excitement is already palpable for the India vs Pakistan match on 23rd February. But before this match, former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi had some harsh words to say.
The ICC Champions Trophy is making a return after a gap of 7 years since the last edition was held in 2017 which Pakistan won and got the rights to host the 2025 edition of the tournament.
Although the opening match of the tournament is being played between Pakistan and New Zealand in Karachi, fans are already buzzing for the India vs Pakistan match on 23rd February to be played in Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.
Shahid Afridi shares harsh words for India-Pakistan players
Before this match, former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi had some harsh words for India and Pakistan players. During a pre-match chat, Shahid Afridi talked about the lack of aggression in India and Pakistan players now.
“Aaj kal ke players sab McDonalds, KFC wale hai (Today’s players are Mcdonalds, KFC generation),” said Afridi ahead of the crucial Pakistan vs India clash.
India vs Pakistan cricket rivalry
The India vs Pakistan cricket rivalry is one of the most famous rivalry of the game. Apart from sharing border, there have been political tensions between both countries since independence which has today translated into cricket rivalry and it is one of the most awaited match-up.
The excitement for this match-up is always at the peak as both India and Pakistan don’t involve in Bilateral series and mostly features against each other in the ICC event where team India have dominated Pakistan. The last time Pakistan won against India in an ICC event was in the 2021 T20 World Cup.
The much awaited India vs Pakistan match in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be played on 23rd February, Sunday. The match will be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai as Team India won’t play any of their matches in Pakistan.
