Shardul Thakur who went unsold in the IPL mega auction 2025, was caught practicing in Lucknow Super Giants camp on Sunday. The Indian all-rounder even celebrated Holi with LSG players.

Shardul Thakur’s picture has grabbed the attention of the fans after the latter was seen training in the camp of Lucknow Super Giants. He was once a regular name in the Chennai Super Kings side. But the latter didn’t had a great outing with the franchise as he picked up only 5 wickets from 9 games he played.

Apart from Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals, the right-arm all-rounder also represented Rising Pune Super Giants, Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders. With the pictures going viral on the social media platforms, he was also seen bowling in the LSG camp.

Shardul Thakur has featured in 95 matches where plucked 94 wickets and also has 307 runs under his belt. He is one of the finest performers who has the capability to do the damage with both the bat and the ball.

However, he didn’t attract any buyers including his former teams who have shown interest in the previous seasons. Despite being not picked by the teams, Shardul has turned things around with his consistent performance in the domestic circuit.

He picked up 15 wickets for Mumbai in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024/25. Moreover, having a look at his Ranji Trophy season, he has scalped 35 wickets after getting featured in 9 games.

Lucknow Super Giants would like to have the services of the Indian all-rounder as their three pacers Mayank Yadav, Mohsin Khan and Avesh Khan is yet to declared fit by National Cricket Academy (NCA).

Notably, Mayank Yadav, who has been retained by Lucknow Super Giants played his last game on October against Bangladesh. With the official announcement from LSG yet to be released, fans have to sit tight as barely one week left for the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League.
