The recent Indian cricket team’s tour of Australia created uproar among the Indian cricket fanatics and cricket experts. Suddenly dressing room leaks were a thing while there many rumours of rift that surfaced on the social media during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-2025 edition between India and Australia. Finally Gautam Gambhir has spoken about the same.

The Indian cricket team’s recent Test series defeat vs Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy was marred many controversy, rumours rift and division in team as India lost the series 3-1.

Gautam Gambhir talks about dressing room leaks and rumours

Recently, Indian team Head Coach Gautam Gambhir finally opened-up in these rumours after Indian team’s T20I series victory at home vs England. In a post match interview after the 5th T20I in Mumbai, Gautam Gambhir talked about how the the bad results trigger negativity and rumours and how it cools down when results are in favour.

“They have played a lot of cricket with each other. More importantly, a month back, there were a couple of other rumours flying around,” Gambhir said with a smile.

“That’s what Indian cricket is all about. There will be so many things said about the dressing room when things are not going okay. But once results start going in your favour, things start falling in place,” India head coach Gautam Gambhir continued talking about the dressing room rumours.

Throughout his discussion, Gambhir never cleared the air about the dressing room leaks and rumours but he rather only talked how these things work depending on the nature of the game.

Meanwhile, India’s dominant T20I series vs England, Gautam Gambhir also talked about his “high risk, high reward” model that the Indian team will adopt going forward, which has worked wonders for the Indian team so far.

“That’s the kind of T20 cricket we want to play. We don’t want to fear losing a game of cricket. We want to play high-risk, high-reward cricket. And these guys have adopted that ideology really well,” Gautam Gambhir said to the broadcaster after lifting the Trophy vs England.
