KKR Topped the Points Table Ahead of Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals

The tournament commenced with ten teams from across India, divided into two groups. Each team played a total of 14 matches, seven at home and seven away.

Following the group stage, the top four teams advanced to the high-stakes Qualifier and Eliminator stages. Through determination and teamwork, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) emerged to face off in the IPL 2024 final at Chennai’s Chepauk Stadium.

KKR secured the top spot in the league stage with nine wins, three losses, and two no results, accumulating 20 points. They earned a direct spot in the final by defeating SRH in Qualifier 1. SRH, meanwhile, secured their place in the final by defeating Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 2 by 36 runs.

Both Teams Have Scored 200+ Runs Six Times Each in IPL 2024; SRH Scored Highest Score in IPL History

Both teams have demonstrated exceptional batting prowess this season, each posting six 200-plus totals, the most by any team. SRH even surpassed the 250-run mark three times, including achieving the highest IPL total of 287/3 against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

KKR has crossed the 250-run threshold twice. This season’s performances have been remarkable, potentially redefining T20 cricket, with significant credit due to KKR and SRH for their explosive batting displays.
