The Gujarat Titans are gearing up for a turnaround in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, building on their well-rounded team composition. Having made a significant impact in their debut season by winning the IPL in 2022, the Titans are looking to reclaim their top position after a few challenging seasons.

In their debut IPL season in 2022, the Gujarat Titans clinched the title, showcasing their potential in the league. The following year, they came close to defending their title but fell short in the final, narrowly losing due to a superb performance by Ravindra Jadeja on the last ball. Despite the early successes, the team underwent several changes, notably with the departure of their initial captain, Hardik Pandya, who moved to the Mumbai Indians, paving the way for Shubman Gill to lead the team.

Under the new leadership of Shubman Gill, the Titans experienced a less impressive run, finishing eighth in the last season. However, with the changes in the team’s lineup and management, they are hopeful of a strong performance in IPL 2025. The ownership of the Gujarat Titans has also changed, although the specific impacts of this on the team’s strategy and operations are yet to be seen.

Gujarat Titans boast a strong squad featuring key players such as Shubman Gill, Jos Buttler, and Sai Sudarshan who hold the top order. Glenn Phillips, Sherfane Rutherford, and Washington Sundar are some of the choices bolstering the middle order. Their bowling attack is formidable with Mohammed Siraj, Kagiso Rabada, and Prasidh Krishna as first-choice pacers. The spin department, led by Rashid Khan, includes talented bowlers like Washington Sundar, Nishant Sindhu, and Sai Kishore, offering a balanced attack.

Despite tough competition, the Gujarat Titans have managed to maintain a commendable win percentage of 62.22% over their IPL tenure. Their highest score till now is 233/3 against Mumbai Indians in 2023, and their lowest score remains 89 all out in 2024.

As they enter the new season, the Gujarat Titans aim to leverage their robust lineup to regain their winning momentum and make a significant impact in IPL 2025.
