On the second day of the India vs Australia Test match, tensions flared as Mitchell Starc exchanged words with Indian debutant Harshit Rana. After a dot ball from Rana, Starc appeared dissatisfied with the delivery’s pace, prompting him to remark, Mitchell Starc to Harshit Rana after getting a bouncer:

“I bowl faster than you, and I’ve got a long memory”. Starc Said.

In the 30th over of Australia’s innings, Harshit Rana bowled a few short balls that made Starc duck and jump to avoid them. During this, Starc jokingly reminded Rana who the faster bowler was, adding humor to the moment. There was no anger involved, in case you’re wondering. The two men laughed off at the end of the over.

The day began with a strong start for India, as Jasprit Bumrah struck in the very first over to dismiss Alex Carey, bringing Australia closer to being bowled out. Jasprit Bumrah also completed his fifer number 11 for India’s team in Test cricket. Harshit Rana and Bumrah continued to lead the Indian bowling attack, with Rana maintaining tight lines and delivering dot balls to Starc. However, the Australian pacer seemed frustrated with Rana’s approach, adding a hint of spice to the contest.
