On his show, he shared a humorous revelation that entertained his fans: there were once rumours about him marrying the legendary Indian women cricketer Mithali Raj. “I heard that I was getting married to Mithali Raj,” Dhawan said, as reported by the Times of India.

Dhawan also praised Rishabh Pant, India’s wicketkeeper-batter, for his remarkable comeback following a near-fatal accident in 2022. He expressed pride in Pant’s resilience and applauded his performances in the IPL, as well as his inclusion in the T20 World Cup 2024 squad.

“I would like to appreciate the way he has handled his rehab and injuries after the accident. The positivity and the strength he has shown is tremendous and the way he has come back and played in the IPL and got into the Indian team is unbelievable and amazing and I am very proud of him,” the Indian cricket team’s opener stated.

In the 17th season of IPL, Dhawan represented Punjab Kings (PBKS) but could only participate in five matches before an injury sidelined him. During these games, he scored 152 runs at an average of 30.40 and a strike rate of 125.61, with his highest score being 70 runs.
