Record champions India U19 cricket team takes on the defending champions Bangladesh U19 in the final match of the ongoing ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup 2024 being played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Team India beat Sri Lanka quite convincingly in the semi-final to make to the final while the defending champs Bangladesh single-handedly beat won the other semi-final match vs Pakistan to book their place into the final match.

Both the teams though finished in 2nd place in their respective group. India lost against Pakistan in their opening match but won the remaining matches, resulted in them finishing on 2nd position in Group A. Bangladesh on the other hand, lost their last group phase match to Sri Lanka to finish behind them in Group B.

The ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup 2024 Final match will be played between India U19 and Bangladesh U19 on the 8th of December, Sunday. The match will be played from 10:30 A.M Indian Standard Time (IST).

The U19 Asia Cup 2024 final match of the tournament will be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The venue also hosted the group stage matches of the tournament alongside the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah.

For Team India, both the opening batters Ayush Mhatre and Vaibhav Suryavanshi have been excellent. Although the latter struggled in the first match vs Pakistan, both the batters have since done well. Ayush has scored 175 runs, but most importantly, with a strike rate of 143 keeping in mind this is 50 overs match. Vaibhav on the other hand has scored 167 runs. He took has a strike rate of 146.

On the bowling front, Bangladesh U19 have been firing. They have two bowlers who have taken 10 wickets each in the tournament. Al Fahad and Iqbal Hossain Emmon both has taken 10 wickets. Al-Fahad took a 4-fer vs Sri Lanka while Emmon took a 4-fer in the semi-final vs Pakistan.

Team India’s top wicket-taker in the tournament is 19-years-old right-arm medium pacer Chetan Sharma. Sharma has taken 7 wickets in 3 matches including a 3 wicket-haul in the semi-final vs Sri Lanka. Yudhajit Guha is the next best with 6 wickets from 4 matches.
