IND vs BAN 2nd Test: Team India Confirmed Playing XI against Bangladesh

IND vs BAN 2nd Test: The first Test between India and Bangladesh ended with an expected result where India registered a big win by 280 runs against Bangladesh at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. That win gave India a 1-0 lead in the two-match IND vs BAN series.
Now, Rohit Sharma and co. will look to register a 2-0 clean sweep. Both sides will lock horns in the second game at the Green Park in Kanpur on September 27. India are at the top of the World Test Championships 2023-25.
They will love to win the second game to stay at the top. India will, without a doubt, enter the game as favorites. But they might look to make some changes to their playing XI because they have a long season coming ahead.
IND vs BAN 2nd Test: Team India’s predicted playing XI against Bangladesh
1. Rohit Sharma (captain)

The Indian captain missed the opportunity to score runs in the first game. He scored a total of 12 runs in two innings. But he is in good form across formats.
That’s what will be in his mind when he steps on to bat in the second IND vs BAN test, to score some runs.
2. Yashasvi Jaiswal

The young opener started the first game with a fifty and made 56 but got out while playing a rash shot in the second innings. Jaiswal has gotten off to a great start to his test career.
Jaiswal scoring runs for India will be a big positive ahead of the test series coming up against New Zealand and Australia.
3. Shubman Gill

One of the best youngster Shubman Gill made a hard decision when he decided to bat at No. 3 in test cricket. But it looks like he is starting to find his feet at these numbers, and he has been among runs.
He scored an unbeaten ton in the second innings after registering a duck in the first game. Gill looked brilliant and showed his full authority while countering Bangladeshi bowlers.
4. Virat Kohli

An in-form Virat Kohli is something that India will love to have when they face New Zealand and Australia in a test. He is someone who can put pressure on the opposition. That’s his stature, but he failed with the bat in the first match.
Though he was unlucky in the second inning when he was looking good, but that’s cricket for you. But Virat should take the most of the opportunity and make sure that he will be scoring runs in the second IND vs. BAN test in Kanpur.
5. KL Rahul

Star batter KL Rahul also made his comeback to the test side after missing out on a handful of test matches against England earlier this year. Even though he was struggling in the first innings but his unbeaten 22 in the second innings must have given him some confidence.
He is still India’s first-choice middle-order batter, and they want him to perform well in the second game.
6. Rishabh Pant (Wk)

Playing a test match after almost two years and scoring one hundred—that is something Rishabh Pant can only do. The star keeper slammed a brilliant 109 in the second innings after scoring 39 in the first innings. He was the top scorer in the game.
Pant looked with the gloves as well, and the more he plays, the more he will get into his test rhythm back. He is India’s X factor in this format, and his form can be game-changer for India.
7. Ravindra Jadeja

The star all-rounder made a good impact in the first IND vs BAN test. He added a crucial 199-run partnership for Ravi Ashwin when India were struggling. Jadeja scored 86 runs with the bat and took 2/19 and 3/58 in the two innings of the game.
His all-round contribution was one of the prime reasons that India registered a comfortable win in the first game. India have an option to pick Axar Patel or Kuldeep Yadav, but Jadeja already had enough break before this series.
8. Axar Patel

The pitch at Green Park is a black soil pitch, which means the spinners will be all over the batters in the game. That’s where India might go with three spinners. Kuldeep can be a good option, but Axar gives the batting depth as well.
So we might see Bumrah might be rested as there is a long season coming ahead for India. Axar might be the third spinner in the playing XI for the IND vs BAN 2nd test.
9. Ravi Ashwin

The man of the match from the first test, Ravichandran Ashwin, looked at his best. He made an impact in both departments. Ashwin scored his sixth test century at a good pace when Indian batters were struggling. His hundred was the turning point.
Then, he came back in the fourth innings and picked up 6/88 to wrap up the match and give India an easy win. Ashwin will be looking to deliver a similar performance and bag yet another Player of the Series award for India.
10. Mohammed Siraj

India didn’t use Mohammed Siraj much, but he was decent with the way he performed. He finished with two wickets, which came in the first innings. Green Park Stadium will offer seam when the ball is new.
That’s where Siraj can be good. He is young, and India will look to stick with him as the leading pacer for the IND vs BAN 2nd test.
11. Akashdeep

Akashdeep bowled one brilliant over in the first game, but that is enough to give him another go. He bowls a hard length, which can be effective in Australia. That is why India want to give him enough time to see what he is capable of.
Akashdeep can also add some runs with the bat, which can be an added advantage if needed. Hence, India might stick with Akashdeep for IND vs BAN 2nd test.
