Indian Cricket Team Full Schedule in 2024 After Sri Lanka Series
The Indian men’s cricket team will round-off their Sri Lanka series with the ODI series decider to be played between the two teams on 7th August in Colombo. The Indian team is currently trailing having tied the 1st match and lost the 2nd match against the Lankan Lions in new Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir’s first series.
The 3rd ODI will mark the end of Sri Lanka tour for the Men in Blue and boys will go on a long break of over 40 days before the Indian cricket team take the field once again in the Bangladesh series that will be played in September 2024. The 3rd ODI will also mark Team India’s last ODI match of the year as the Men in Blue is not scheduled to play anymore ODI matches this year, unless things change drastically.
Despite the lack of ODI cricket, Team India will be involved in some exciting T20I matches and Test matches for the remainder of the year in 2024. In this article, we take a look at Team India’s upcoming series in the year 2024.
India vs Bangladesh
After the conclusion of the Sri Lanka tour, the Men in Blue will take a month long break before they hit the ground running once again in September when they host Bangladesh. The series will be played from 19 September till 12 October where the neighbour’s will play 2 Test matches as part of the series, part of the World Test Championship 2023-2025 season, following which they will also play 3 T20I matches.

India vs New Zealand
After Bangladesh, it will be time for the Kiwis as New Zealand will tour India for pure red ball cricket. India will host New Zealand for 3 Test matches that will also be part of the World Test Championship 2023-2025 edition. The series will be played from 16 October till 5 November.

India vs South Africa
After back-to-back series at home, the Gautam Gambhir led Men in Blue will then travel to for some quick paced cricket. South Africa will host Team India from 8 November till 15 November in a 5 match T20I series.

India vs Australia (Border-Gavaskar Trophy)
After that, Indian cricket team will play the main event of the year, the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. The Border-Gavaskar Trophy will consist of 5 Test matches that will be played from 22nd November, 2024 till 7 January 2025. The first Test match will be played in Perth followed by matches in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne followed by the concluding match in Sydney.
