The fourth match of the 18th season of the Indian Premier League, IPL 2025, will take place on Monday, March 24. The Delhi Capitals (DC) will face the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Dr. Y.S Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. The match starts at 7:30 p.m. IST.

Last season’s Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant will play for Lucknow, while KL Rahul, the captain of the Lucknow Super Giants the previous year, will play for Delhi in this game. Axar Patel has been chosen as the new captain of the franchise, succeeding Rishabh Pant, who has joined LSG.

Opening Pair

KL Rahul and could be the best opening pair for LSG for this season. Both players are full of experience: Du Plessis, who was part of RCB for the past three seasons, now he plays for DC as a vice-captain. Last season Du Plessis played 15 matches and scored 438 runs with a strike rate of 161; he also scored four half-centuries in the last season.

KL Rahul was the captain of LSG last season and is now part of the DC. Last season Rahul played 14 matches and scored 520 runs, with 4 half-centuries.

Jake Fraser-McGurk at NO.3

The young Australian star Jake Fraser-McGurk could be a great option for No. 3. He is known for his aggressive batting style. Last season he made his IPL debut, where he played 9 matches and scored 330 runs with a strike rate of 234. If he can play like this in this season, he will be one of the best players in IPL.

Middle Order

Abishek Porel has been part of the franchise since his debut in 2023. The player from Bengal played 14 matches last season and impressed everyone by scoring 327 runs in 12 innings with a strike rate of 159. He also managed to score two half-centuries in that season.

The new captain of Delhi Capital, Axar Patel, is one of the great all-rounders in the world. His recent ICC Champions Trophy was also been great and played a vital role in India’s trophy-winning campaign. Last season he played 14 matches and scored 235 runs along with two Half-centuries and with the ball, he took 11 wickets.

The South African batter Tristan Stubbs will continue with DC after retention. Last season he played 14 matches and scored 378 runs with an amazing strike rate of 190.

Bowlers

Mitchell Starc was the part of 2024 IPL-winning team, Kolkata Knight Riders. He played 14 matches last year and took 17 wickets last season.

Indian left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav will be a crucial bowler for Delhi. Last season he played 11 matches and took 16 wickets. He also played well in the recent ICC Champions Trophy, where he played 5 matches and took 7 wickets.

Mukesh Kumar was part of DC for the last two seasons; last season he took 17 wickets in just 10 matches.

Indian veteran pacer Mohit Sharma will be part of DC after spending two seasons with Gujarat Titans. He took a total of 40 wickets in 26 matches. DC Management is looking for the same kind of performance by him this season.

After spending five years in Hyderabad, T. Natarajan is now part of Delhi Capital. Last season he played 14 matches and took 19 wickets.

Impact Players

Karun Nair could be a great option as an impact player, although he did not get enough chances in the last three seasons in the IPL. His recent domestic season was amazing and hopefully, he will get enough chances this season and play some good innings.
