The fourth match of the 18th season of the Indian Premier League, IPL 2025, will take place on Monday evening, March 24. The Delhi Capitals (DC) will face the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Dr. Y.S Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. The match starts at 7:30 p.m. IST.

Rishabh Pant, former Delhi Capitals captain, will lead the Super Giants this season in IPL 2025. The squad is experiencing a significant injury issue in the bowling department. Mayank Yadav, Mohsin Khan, Avesh Khan, and Akash Deep have all sustained injuries.

Opening Pair

Aiden Markram and Mitchell Marsh could be the best opening combination for the LSG.comes from SRH; South Africa is a good all-rounder. Recently he has been doing an opening from his country in T20 matches. Last season was decent for him; he played 11 games and scored 220 runs but last season he came in the middle order.

The Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh is another good opening batter for LSC. He was part of the Delhi Capitals for the last three seasons and it was not a great journey for him. He played only 21 matches in the last three seasons for DC, scored 440 runs, and took 17 wickets.

Rishabh Pant at NO.3

Former Delhi Capital captain Rishabh Pant will lead LSG this season; he is the highest buy in this year’s IPL auction. He was part of DC since his debut and he was one of the most consistent players for DC over the year. Last season he played 13 matches, scored 446 runs, scored three half-centuries, and his strike rate was 155.

Middle Order

Nicholas Pooran is known for his power-hitting and aggressive batting. He brings a lot of experience by playing in T20 leagues all over the world. Last season he single-handedly won some matches for LSG and that is the biggest reason that LSM management retained him in the IPL auction. Last season he played 14 matches and scored 499 runs with a strike rate of 178, he also managed to score three half-centuries.

The uncapped Indian youngster Ayush Badoni will play his third season in IPL with LSG. He can anchor the innings and also have the power-hitting ability to accelerate the scoreboard. Last season he played 14 matches and scored 235 runs, where two half-centuries were also present.

After playing for SRH for the last five years, Abdul Samad joined the LSG franchise in this year’s IPL auction. He is known for his aggressive batting and part-time bowling. Last year he scored 168 runs with a strike rate of 168.

David Miller is known as “Killer Miller” for his destructive batting and power-hitting. He has vast experience in international and top T20 leagues of the world. After spending three years in GT, he joined LSG this season. Last year he played only 9 matches and scored 210 runs with a strike rate of 151.

Indian all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed will be a good option for LSG in the middle order. He could be a great all-round option for the franchise. Last season he scored 215 runs in 12 innings and took 7 wickets.

Bowlers

Ravi Bishnoi is the regular bowler for Team India in T20 matches. He is known for his impactful spin bowling. He has been the star of the franchise for the last three years, where he took 39 wickets in 43 matches

Shardul Thakur is a good pace bowler for LSG this season. Although his last season was not good, he played only 9 matches where he took 5 wickets. His domestic season was very good and LSG management is hoping that he will carry forward his domestic form in IPL also.

The 22-year-old Indian Akash Singh could be a great bowler for LSG this season. Last season he did not play any matches, but in 2023 he took 5 wickets in 6 matches while playing for CSK.

Impact Player

M. Siddharth and Arshin Kulkarni both could be great options for impact players. Siddharth will be a good option while defending the target and the all-rounder Kulkarni will be a great choice while chasing the target.
