In the IPL 2024 final, the Kolkata Knight Riders crushed the Sunrisers Hyderabad for the third time this season. Led by Shreyas Iyer, KKR claimed their third IPL title. With guidance from Gautam Gambhir, the team turned things around dramatically, breaking a decade-long title drought.

KKR’s success was built on teamwork rather than relying on individual stars. Their bowlers worked together as a strong unit, with Varun Chakravarthy leading by taking 21 wickets, and six other bowlers each taking 10 or more.

Sunil Narine was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament due to his outstanding all-round performance. Promoted to open the batting, Narine scored 488 runs and took 17 wickets, playing a crucial role in KKR’s victory.

RCB star claimed the Orange Cap for the second time in his career, scoring an impressive 741 runs in IPL 2024. Despite his outstanding performance, which included a century and five half-centuries, his team still couldn’t secure their first IPL title.

PBKS seamer Harshal Patel won the Purple Cap for the second time, having previously claimed the prize in 2021 with Royal Challengers Bangalore. Even with his impressive 24 wickets, Punjab Kings had another disappointing season, failing to qualify for the playoffs and finishing ninth in the league standings.
