After failing to reach the Indian Premier League (IPL) Final in 2023 losing to Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 2, Mumbai Indians management made some big changes to the team that made them the pre-season favourites, also bringing in their former player Hardik Pandya as the captain in place of Rohit Sharma.

India captain Rohit Sharma finished the season as the team’s most run scorer. The veteran batter scored 417 runs in 14 appearances with a strike rate of 150. Tilak Varma is 2nd on the list with 416 runs with a strike rate of 149. Suryakumar Yadav is the 3rd most run scorer with 345 runs from 11 matches, missing the first few matches. Ishan Kishan and Tim David are next on the list with 320 and 241 runs respectively.

Mumbai Indians Top 5 Most Wicket-takers in IPL 2024

Team India’s leading pacer Jasprit Bumrah finished the season as the leading wicket-taker for Mumbai Indians with 20 wickets from 13 matches. Veteran spin bowler Piyush Chawla was a surprise package for the side as he picked 13 wickets with Gerald Coetzee also picking the same number of wickets. Captain Hardik Pandya also bagged 11 wickets while Nuwan Thusara took 8 wickets.
