IPL 2025 All Team Captains List
The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season is now just a couple of hours away and every team is now getting ready for the grand event. Teams have officially launched unveiling the captain’s name. In today’s article, we take a look IPL 2025 all-team captains list.
IPL 2024 Review
The IPL 2024 was a strong showing from two very strong teams, the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and the eventual champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Both teams finished in top 2 in the points table and reached the final deservingly.
In the final, it was the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) who reigned supreme. The Knight Riders bowled out the Sunrisers’ for just 113 runs. The Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan owned side won the match in 10 overs by 8 wickets.

Now first let’s take a look at which teams from IPL 2024 season will continue to their team in the IPL 2025 as well. Ruturaj Gaikwad has been doing an excellent job since handed over the role from MS Dhoni and will continue to lead the team.
After leading the side to the final, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will also continue with their captain Pat Cummins, who continues to excel as captain for Australia. Shubman Gill, Sanju Samson and Hardik Pandya who was announced Mumbai Indians captain last season, are also set to continue in their role.
Lucknow Super Giants name Rishabh Pant as captain for IPL 2025
Most recently, after their grand acquisition of Indian left-hand wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant for record breaking 27 crores, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have named Pant as the captain ahead of the 2025 season. Punjab Kings have also announced IPL 2024 winning captain Shreyas Iyer as the captain for 2025 season signing him for 26.75 crores.
Delhi Capitals meanwhile are likely to have 2 captains in the form of Axar Patel and KL Rahul. Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are yet to name their captain but Virat Kohli is the favourite to lead the latter. It will be updated when announced.
