The hosts, Gujarat Titans (GT) face the Mumbai Indians (MI) in Match 9 of the 18th Indian Premier League, IPL 2025, at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The contest will take place on Saturday, January 29th, at 7:30 p.m. Indian Standard Time.

Both sides are coming off losses in their first matches and want to gain confidence with a win today. Gujarat Titans lost a hard-fought game against the Punjab Kings in the season opener. After getting the target of 243 runs, they came close but lost by 11 runs.

Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler reached their half-century; Sudharsan scored 74 runs off 41 balls with a strike rate of 180. Buttler scored 54 runs in 33 balls, while Shubman Gill gave a quick start with his 33 runs off 14 balls in the inning.

Captain Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan will start their innings as opening batters. In the last match, Sudharsan scored 74 runs off 41 balls with a strike rate of 180 hitting five boundaries and six over boundaries. While Shubman Gill gave a quick start with his 33 runs off 14 balls in the inning with a strike rate of 235. In his small inning, he hit 2 boundaries and three over boundaries.

Jos Buttler at NO. 3

Newcomer Buttler scored a half-century of 54 runs in 33 balls with a strike rate of 163 by hitting four boundaries and two over boundaries. He will be looking forward to continuing his form in the next IPL match.

Middle Order

Shahrukh Khan only got the chance to play one ball in the previous match and he hit six with that ball and finished the inning.

Sherfane Rutherford played an aggressive inning with his bat. He played only 28 balls and scored 46 runs with a strike rate of 164 while hitting four boundaries and three over boundaries.

Rahul Tewatia is known for his finishing ability with power-hitting. In the last match, he failed to showcase his skills; although he started his inning with a six, he lost his wicket in the next ball. He should need to play his natural game with patience to become more effective in upcoming matches of IPL.

Bowlers

The left-handed spin bowler Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore was very effective in the previous match. He bowled 4 overs, conceded just 30 runs, and took 3 important wickets for his team.

Rashid Khan, an Afghanistan spin all-rounder and a key member of the Gujarat Titans, flopped in the previous encounter. He gave 48 runs in his four overs and took only one wicket. He needs to step up in this next match to win against Mumbai Indians.

Kagiso Rabada was the only player who was successful in their previous match. He conceded 41 runs in 4 overs and took only one wicket.

Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna also flopped in the previous match. Both of them conceded over 40 runs by bowling and weren’t able to take any wickets.

Impact Player

Arshad Khan or Washington Sundar, one of them could be the impact player as per the requirement of that moment. Both of them can play an impactful innings but as an experienced player, Sundar has the upper hand.
