IPL 2025 Restarts from 17 May, Final on June 3; Revised Schedule Out Now

The much-awaited restart date for the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 campaign is out. The league resumes from 17 May with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in action against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The final match has been rescheduled to June 3.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 was suspended on May 8 during the Punjab Kings vs Delhi Capitals match in Himachal Pradesh as a result of Pakistan’s attack on India. The league was suspended for 1 week by the BCCI.
And now we finally have the restart date. There are a total of 17 matches still to be played, including the Punjab Kings vs Delhi Capitals match that was suspended after 10 overs.
The league resumes from 17 May, with the originally scheduled match-up between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Bengaluru.
In the revised schedule, there are 2 double-header matches on May 18 and May 25. The league will now be played in 6 venues. The playoffs will commence from May 29 with the Qualifier 1, Eliminator on May 30 while the Qualifier 2 will be on 1st June. The grand finale will be on June 3. The venue for all the playoff matches will be confirmed later.
The playoffs are scheduled as follows:

– Final – June 3

Gujarat Titans currently sits at the top of the IPL 2025 points table with 16 points from 8 wins in 11 games. The Shubman Gill-led side has equal points to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) but has a better net run rate than the 2nd placed side.
Punjab Kings is currently in 3rd position with 15 points from 7 wins in 11 games, while their match against Kolkata Knight Riders was a washout, giving a point to Shreyas Iyer’s side.
Mumbai Indians is currently in 4th position with 14 points while Delhi Capitals is right behind them with 13 points at 5th place. Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) is currently in 6th place with 11 points while the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) is right behind them with 10 points.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Rajasthan Royals (RR) and the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are the three teams who have already been eliminated from the playoffs race, sitting at 8th, 9th and 10th position respectively.
