It is finally here, the IPL 2025 Retention day. The IPL fans have waiting agonizingly over the last couple of weeks to know which players remain with their franchise and who leaves the teams. Find all the retained and released players list and the remaining purse amount for Mega Auction.

It has been a long wait, but the day has arrived when he gets to know the faith of many players, what master tactics have teams played, as the BCCI has set 5 P.M deadline to submit the list of players.
IPL 2025 Retention Rules
Before taking a deep dive into the IPL 2025 Retention list, we must know what are the rules and regulations for the retention. Find all the details below.
- Each IPL team is allowed a maximum of 6 retentions, a maximum of 5 capped players and 2 uncapped players. The retention of capped and uncapped players must not exceed 6 retentions.
- There are no restriction on overseas or Indian player retention, teams can retain as many as all 6 overseas or Indian players.
- Retaining 5 capped players will cost 75 crore and one uncapped player will cost further 4 crore.
- Following is the minimum price set for each retention slot, 1st retention: 18 crore, 2nd retention: 14 crore, 3rd retention: 11 crore, 4th retention: 18 crore, 5th retention: 14 crore, uncapped player: 4 crore.
- An IPL franchise will be alloted RTM card for every empty retention slot, for example; if a team retain no one, then that team will have 6 RTM card and vice-versa.
- Total team purse has been increased upto 120 crore for the IPL 2025 Mega Auction.
- Any player who has no central contract or not played for Team India in the last 5 years is eligible to be retained as uncapped player.
