Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Gujarat Titans have cleared the air what’s the future holds two of the star players of the team, captain Shubman Gill and vice-captain Rashid Khan ahead of the upcoming IPL 2025 retention deadline day on 31st October.

Rashid Khan is a global cricketing superstar who comes from Afghanistan. Rashid Khan has been a part of the Gujarat Titans since their debut season in 2022. Previously, he was with the but left the team due retention drama with the franchise.

Rashid has played key role for the franchise both with the bat and ball. The magical Afghan spinner picked 19 wickets in Gujarat debut season in the IPL to help his side win the title.

Shubman Gill

Shubman Gill has come through the ranks of the Indian team, starting from the youth ranks, starting for the India U19 team in the 2018 U19 World Cup. He was then groomed and developed at Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) before the opening batter joined Gujarat Titans in 2022.

Gill has done tremendously well for the side and after Gujarat captain Hardik Pandya left the side, Shubman Gill was made the captain of the franchise. His some of the most outstanding performances includes scoring 890 runs in IPL 2023.
