Sunrisers Hyderabad entered the IPL in 2013, after replacing another Hydrabad-based franchise, the Deccan Chargers. In 2016, the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) cricket team won the Indian Premier League (IPL). That year, they won the final by eight runs over Royal Challengers Bangalore. They also reached the IPL final in 2018 but that time they lost against the five-time IPL winner Chennai Super Kings.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) Home Ground

Their home venue is the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. The Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad, popularly known as Hyderabad Cricket Stadium, has a seating capacity of around 55,000. This makes it one of the largest cricket venues in India.

The Hydrabad management also worked very well in the IPL 2025 auction. They retained their core players and brought some exceptional talent from the auction desk. Their retained core players are Pat Cummins, Abhishek Sharma, Nitish Reddy, Heinrich Klaasen, and Travis Head. Sunrisers Hyderabad signed 15 players in two days of bidding, with Ishan Kishan fetching a record Rs. 11.25 crore. SRH has brought Mohammad Shami, who is making a comeback after suffering an injury during the ODI World Cup last year.

Hydrabad fans and management are expecting an impressive season to bring the glory back and win the title after a long wait.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH): IPL 2025 Schedule

Hyderabad will start their campaign against the Rajasthan Royals at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. After two home games, they will fly to Visakhapatnam to play against the Delhi Capitals. SRH play their last league stage match against Lucknow Super Giants at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow, on 18th May.
