Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) is one of the unluckiest franchises in the IPL. In IPL 2025, they will try to win their first title. They always have a big brand of betters in the team. But till now, they have not been successful in winning the title. RCB has played the final match thrice but did not succeed in winning even once. They last qualified for the final match in 2016, a year memorable for ‘s outstanding performance.

RCB is better known for big overseas players. But in the IPL 2025 auction, they added new talented and experienced Indian players to the squad like Jitesh Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Krunal Pandya, and Devdutt Padikkal.

However, their overseas player’s strength is still brilliant. They have overseas players like Liam Livingstone, Phil Salt, Tim David, Romario Shepherd, Jacob Bethell, and Josh Hazlewood. These are the players who can win any match single-handedly in any situation. So it will be interesting to see which players the team selects for the playing 11 during the IPL 2025. We are here to discuss the four overseas RCB players, who have a high possibility of playing most of the matches in IPL 2025.

Philip Salt

Phil Salt is a right-handed wicketkeeper-batsman from England. He was famous for his attacking batting style. He mostly comes to bat in the top order and starts smashing bowlers from the power play. Last year, he was part of the defending champions, the Kolkata Knight Riders; he made 435 runs with an excellent strike rate of 182 for them. 

In the IPL, he played the last two seasons for two different franchises. Overall, he played 21 matches in IPL, scoring 653 runs with an impressive strike rate of 175. They also perform brilliantly for England as well. He played 40 T20 matches for his country and scored 1110 runs with the help of three hundred. So definitely he will play most of the matches for RCB in IPL 2025.

Josh Hazlewood 

In the IPL 2025 auction, RCB bought their former Australian fast bowler, Hazlewood. Josh performed outstandingly for RCB in the IPL 2022 when he took 20 wickets in 12 matches. He can take wickets in earlier overs and bowl brilliantly in the death overs with a cheaper economy. Overall, Hazlewood played 27 IPL matches and took 35 wickets. 

Josh also performed well for his country. He played 52 T20 matches for Australia and took 67 wickets with a good economy of 7.49. Due to his wicket-taking ability and good bonding with the franchise, he will surely play most of the matches for RCB in IPL 2025. 

Liam Livingstone 

This English batting all-rounder’s hard-hitting ability and right-arm off-break spin bowling are well known. Livingstone played 5 IPL seasons for two franchises. Therefore, he is very familiar with Indian conditions. He played 39 IPL matches and scored 939 runs with an impressive strike rate of 162. He took 11 wickets as well.

Livingstone also performed well for England. He played 57 T20Is and scored 844 runs. He also took 33 wickets for England. So there is a high possibility that he will play most of the matches in the IPL 2025 for RCB.

Romario Shepherd

Romario is a brilliant bowling all-rounder from the West Indies. He suits perfectly with the RCB’s team combination. Shepherd can give depth in the batting to the RCB team, and he also can bowl at a good pace. He played 56 T20Is for the West Indies, scored 537 runs, and took 56 wickets as well.

Shepherd has been a part of IPL for the last three years but didn’t get enough chance to play. He played 10 IPL matches, scored 115 runs, and took 4 wickets as well. This year he will surely be part of the RCB’s playing 11 in the IPL 2025.
