Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan is all set to make his return to the domestic cricket scene, as he has agreed to represent his home state of Jharkhand in the upcoming season. This comes after a period of uncertainty surrounding his availability for the domestic circuit.

Kishan, who made his international debut for India in 2021, has been a regular feature in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the Mumbai Indians franchise. However, he has not played much domestic cricket in recent times, which has raised concerns about his form and fitness.

The 24-year-old left-handed batsman has played 74 First-Class matches, scoring 4,256 runs at an average of 38.30, with 12 centuries and 20 half-centuries. In List A cricket, he has played 64 matches, amassing 2,432 runs at an average of 43.61, with 5 centuries and 16 half-centuries. In T20 cricket, he has played 102 matches, scoring 2,492 runs at a strike rate of 130.09, with 1 century and 15 half-centuries.

Kishan’s return to the domestic fold is a welcome boost for Jharkhand, who will be looking to make a strong showing in the upcoming season. His experience and skills will be invaluable for the team, as they aim to compete at the highest level.

The Jharkhand Cricket Association (JCA) is yet to announce the team’s schedule for the upcoming season, but it is expected that Kishan will be a key player for the team in all formats of the game.

Here are some of Ishan Kishan’s notable records and achievements:

  • Youngest player to score a century in the Ranji Trophy (2016)
  • Highest individual score in the Vijay Hazare Trophy (2018)
  • Most sixes in a single season of the IPL (2021)
  • Fastest century by an Indian wicketkeeper in T20 cricket (2021)

With his return to the domestic scene, Ishan Kishan will be looking to add more accolades to his already impressive resume and cement his place in the Indian cricket team.
