James Vince criticised the ECB’s policy recently in an interview with ESPN Cricinfo. The England and Wales Cricket Board recently decided to deny NOCs for all-format players who play in the global league, except for the .

This year, due to the ICC Champions Trophy, PSL schedule windows are clashing with the IPL. So the ECB decided to deny NOC to all format players who want to play in the PSL. They gave the reason that the league is clashing with the early rounds of their domestic County Championship.

So, James Vince slammed the ECB for its one-sidedness towards the IPL over the PSL. Recently, a few weeks ago, Vince announced his retirement from first-class cricket to play in the PSL. He was also retained by the Karachi Kings before the PSL draft.

To Cricinfo, he says, “PSL is a shorter competition, so if you are going to play in that, you will miss less domestic cricket. But if you are going to play IPL, that is a big one. It didn’t seem rightWhy the IPL? Not the PSL?

James Vince also talked about the relationship between boards. He said, “I guess it’s got to be something to do with the relationship between the ECB, PCB, and the as to why they have come up with that rule.”

Vince thinks that if teams signed 25-30 more English players with decent contracts, more people would give up their red-ball contracts for those offers.

About the PSL and their franchise, Vince said, “I remember we had a bit of dialogue with our owners and team management at Karachi.

They were concerned about picking someone up in the draft and then the NOC being denied. So, I don’t think it helped English domestic players in the draft either.”

James Vince has good experience playing in the PSL. He played for three different franchises there. Overall, he played 45 matches in the PSL and scored 1,166 runs, with a strike rate of 136.
