The last round of the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2024-2025 is currently going on across various venues. However, the Jammu & Kashmir vs Baroda has taken the spotlight for wrong reasons. Jammu and Kashmir has alleged Krunal Pandya led Baroda for pitch fixing.

The Ranji Trophy 2024-2025 last round fixture between Jammu & Kashmir and Baroda is currently being played at the Reliance Stadium in Vadodara. Jammu and Kashmir won the toss and opted bat first. They put 246 runs on the board batting first and then got the Baroda side out for 166 runs.

Jammu Kashmir then went on to score a further 284 runs, making it a total lead of 364 runs, setting 365 runs target. However, on Saturday, the Jammu & Kashmir alleged the Krunal Pandya led Baroda team for tampering the pitch.

Day 3’s play on Saturday late as Jammu and Kashmir coach Ajay Sharma felt that the Baroda side have tampered the pitch as the colour of the pitch had drastically changed. According to the Indian Express, the Jammu side also lodged an official complaint. But, the Baroda side have denied the claim, stating it as “baseless.”

“The allegations made by the J&K coach are baseless. The outfield was wet and due to winter there was moisture on the pitch and even the outfield was wet. The umpire too felt the same,” stated a Baroda Cricket Association official to the Indian Express.

Meanwhile this match holds a great importance for both the teams. Both teams need a win to qualify for the next round. Meanwhile, as of lunch break, Jammu and Kashmir is in cruise control of this match. Chasing a target of 365 runs, Baroda have lost 7 wickets for 181 runs
