Delhi Capitals batter KL Rahul played a classy inning to help DC post a competitive 199 runs on the board vs the most successful side in the IPL 2025 season, the Gujarat Titans at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

With the playoff hopes hanging by a thread, the Delhi Capitals must win against the Gujarat Titans to stay in the race. After being asked to bat first, DC used a new opening partnership of Faf du Plessis and KL Rahul.

Although Du Plessis was out for 5 runs off 10 balls, KL Rahul played a wonderful inning as he remained unbeaten on 112 runs off 65 balls to help the Delhi Capitals to post 199 runs on the board, a competitive assumed at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

In this inning, Rahul initially took a cautious approach. Eventually, he hit 14 fours and 4 sixes.

With 13 points from 11 matches and currently sitting at 5th place, the Delhi Capitals can still make it to the playoffs and a win against the Gujarat Titans would do world of good.

Rahul has scored with a magnificent consistency throughout the season. He has scored 493 runs at an average of 61.63 and strike rate of 148.05.

The IPL 2025 is also crucial for KL Rahul, as this is the ultimate road to the T20 World Cup 2026 ticket for many players. Rahul doesn’t have a fixed spot in the Indian T20I team, and with the T20 World Cup 2026 to be played in India, KL Rahul would want to put himself in the spotlight.
