After a thrilling win against the five-time champions Mumbai Indians, Digvesh Rathi hailed the star spinner of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Sunil Narine as his inspiration to start bowling.

The talented youngster bowled a fantastic spell against Mumbai Indians. Digvesh Rathi has been very effective with the ball for Lucknow Super Giants, delivering a composed spell of 1 for 21 in a high-scoring encounter.

His sensational spell earned him the Player of the Match award as LSG would be expecting a lot from the youngster in the upcoming games as well. Moreover, during the post-match presentation, Digvesh Rathi revealed Sunil Narine’s name as his idol behind his bowling mindset.

“I am really enjoying it. I like to get the batters out. I watched Sunil Narine bowl and from that time I took to bowling,” Digvesh Rathi said after the game.

“I want to make my mindset more attacking, want to be like (Sunil) Narine, on how he stays calm even during pressure situations,” he added.

Digvesh Rathi removed the well-settled Naman Dhir who looked threatening with 46 off just 24 deliveries he played.

“Before that over, I spoke to you, we wanted a mid-wicket but we did not have one, he looked to play through there and that move really worked for us,” Rathi on picking up the wicket of Naman Dhir.

The 12-run triumph against Mumbai Indians was the second win for Rishabh Pant-led Lucknow Super Giants in this tournament. Rishabh Pant and his men were currently positioned at the sixth spot on the table with four points in their bag.

Next, they will be facing Ajinkya Rahane-led Kolkata Knight Riders in their upcoming fixture at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on 8th April, Tuesday at 3:30 PM Indian Standard Time (IST). One can expect a high-scoring battle with a quality of power-hitters on both the sides.
