The SA20 2025 Final match is scheduled to be played today i.e. 8th February 2025 between the first time finalists MI Cape Town and the 2-times defending champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape, who will be looking to lift their third straight title after winning the first two editions of the tournament.

The final match of the SA20 2025 season is a much awaited affair between the MI Cape Town and the Sunrisers Eastern Cape. The match will be played on 8th February, Saturday 9 P.M Indian Standard Time (IST), live from The Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.

A lot is at stake in this grand finale match. The MI Cape Town have made it to their first ever SA20 Final after finishing in bottom position in the first two seasons. As for the Sunrisers Eastern Cape, they are looking to complete the three-peat.

Sunrisers Eastern Cape have won the previous two seasons of the competition and this will be their third final in a row. A win here would see them make it 3 titles in the first 3 seasons of the SA20 since it’s inception in 2022.

As the grand finale beckons, all the heartbeats are now at its peak. But before the first ball of the grand finale is bowled, what happened in the toss and what is the playing XI looking like. Let’s have a look.

Captain Rashid Khan said during the toss that they are looking to put runs on the board first in a high voltage final like this. Even the Sunrisers Eastern Cape Aiden Markram said that had he won the toss, he would have also decided to bat first.
