Delhi Capitals captain Axar Patel won the toss and opted to bat first. However, the Capitals were dealt an early blow in the 1st over itself as Khaleel Ahmed got Jake Fraser-McGurk caught to Ravichandran Ashwin in the 5th ball of the 1st over.

But in-fact, in replay, it was shown that the batter Abhishek Porel had not touched the ball with his bat and there was a decent big gap. The bounce was high enough to get past MS Dhoni’s gloves for a four. However, umpires decision award the boundary to Abhishek Porel ignited a social media buzz that MS Dhoni dropped but in-fact there was no contact between bat and ball.
