The most important match in the race to the IPL 2025 playoffs is going to be played tonight as the Mumbai Indians (MI) hosts the Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Wankhede Stadium. However, there looms a big threat for this match as there is currently yellow alert in Mumbai, especially the Wankhede area for rainfall.

This is the most important match in the context of qualifying as the 4th placed team in the IPL 2025 playoffs as both the Mumbai Indians and the Delhi Capitals are direct rivals for the spot.

The Mumbai Indians is currently sitting at 4th place with 14 points from 12 games while the Delhi Capitals have 13 points from 12 games. A win for Mumbai would confirm their place in the playoffs while Delhi Capitals would overtake MI with a win in this match.
