Naveen-ul-Haq, the Afghan cricketer who made a noticeable impact in the IPL 2023 and IPL 2024, registered for the IPL 2025 mega auction with a base price of Rs 2 crore. Despite his previous performances, he did not attract any bids this year. However, he remains eligible to be signed as an injury replacement by any team during the ongoing season.

Naveen-ul-Haq’s journey in the IPL began in 2023 when he was acquired by the Lucknow Super Giants for INR 50 lakh. He had a commendable debut season, playing eight matches, claiming 11 wickets, and maintaining an economy rate below eight. His contributions continued in IPL 2024, where he participated in ten matches and secured 14 wickets.

Aside from his IPL participation, Naveen-ul-Haq is known for his versatility in T20 cricket, featuring in various global tournaments such as the Caribbean Premier League and Major League Cricket. This experience adds to his value as a T20 specialist with 205 matches and 246 wickets to his name.
