1. Chennai Super Kings – Vijay Shankar
One of the most loved franchise, Chennai Super Kings signed Vijay Shankar ahead of this tournament. The Tamil Nadu-born cricketer was once a regular name in the Indian side. But the right-handed cricketer didn’t lived up to the expectations during the 2015 World Cup and was sidelined after that.
Recently, Vijay Shankar has performed well in the domestic circuit which helped to earn a seat in the Chennai-based franchise. The veteran cricketer has also smashed 3 back-to-back sixes against Hardik Pandya in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024. And, looking upon his IPL stats, he has featured in 72 games where he scored 1115 runs at an average of around 26.

Despite being given a huge sum, Sameer Rizvi didn’t get enough chances and often been benched in the league.
But, along with Ricky Ponting, Delhi Capitals will be looking forward to utilize his abilities in this competition. Sameer Rizvi has recently shown his aggressive style of batting in a recent game against Gujarat. The lad scored 262 runs in just 159 balls with the help of 20 sixes and 21 fours to his name. Hence, we can expect him to dominate for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2025.
3. Gujarat Titans – Washington Sundar
Washington Sundar is expected to be the x-factor for Gujarat Titans in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. The right-arm off-spinner didn’t have a great time in his last season where he conceded 73 runs in 30 balls he bowled.
But, after witnessing his recent performance, Gujarat Titans will be keen to make him bowl in the powerplay overs as he also has the ability to get runs with the bat in crunch situations of the game. Let’s expect a quality show from Washington Sundar with both the bat and the ball for Gujarat Titans.

5. Lucknow Super Giants – Abdul Samad
After representing Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2024, Abdul Samad has been roped in by Lucknow Super Giants for INR 4.20 crore in the IPL auction 2025. With a plethora of big names in the middle, this 23-year-old ad will be the x-factor for Delhi Capitals.

6. Mumbai Indians – Deepak Chahar can be an X-Factor in IPL 2025
Deepak Chahar is a great buy for the five-time champions Mumbai Indians in the auction of IPL 2025. Deepak Chahar alongside Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult will be a threat for any batter in both powerplay and slog overs of the game.
While most of the team’s score runs during powerplay and death overs, Deepak Chahar will lay his whenever his side needs him to do so. Moreover, he is a good hitter of the ball and can clear the ropes once he gets the balls under his eyes.
7. Punjab Kings – Nehal Wadhera
One of the rising stars in the domestic circuit, Nehal Wadhera will don the Punjab Kings jersey ahead of IPL 2025. Nehal Wadhera’s ability to counter both pace and spin in the middle makes him the biggest x-factor for the Punjab-based franchise. The left-handed batter is the kind of player the Punjab Kings will be looking forward to with the kind of form he has in the middle.
8. Rajasthan Royals – Nitish Rana can be a X-Factor in IPL 2025
One of the underrated cricketers in the Indian Premier League, Nitish Rana will be an x-factor for the team because of the form that he showcased in past years. In the last season, the right-handed batter amassed 395 runs that he played at an average of around 31 with a strike-rate of well above 170. With RCB having so many batters in their lineup, Rajat Patidar will be the man who can turn the table right from the middle overs of the game.
10. Sunrisers Hyderabad – Ishan Kishan
Ishan Kishan who is recognised as ‘Pocket Dynamite’, will don the orange jersey for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Without any doubt, Ishan Kishan will take away the game from the opposition as he starts to trouble the bowlers right from the first ball of the game.
Despite having a poor season with the bat, Ishan Kishan’s strike rate of 148.84, scoring 320 runs clearly shows his destructive approach. Ishan Kishan has to prove himself as he already has close competition in his team.
