Pat Cummins Slams Media For Fake Quote About India Having Advantage Playing at Single Venue

Australia cricket team captain Pat Cummins has taken a jab at the Australian media for their fake quote on the Indian team playing the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 at a single venue in Dubai while the other teams play in Pakistan.
Earlier, an account on X (formerly Twitter) claimed that Australia’s captain Pat Cummins, who is not playing in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 due to injury, had said that Team India gets an unfair advantage by playing at a single venue at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai while the remaining 7 teams play the tournament across Pakistan.
However, upon seeing that, Pat Cummins quickly and replied to the post saying that he never made such remark. After which, the post was later deleted.
Pat Cummins ruled out of Champions Trophy 2025
After winning the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2023, Pat Cummins was set to lead in the team in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, but an injury has prevented his participation in the tournament. Steve Smith in his absence has been leading the team in this tournament.
Australia began their Champions Trophy campaign with a stupendous win against England in their opening match of the campaign. With several other key players injured and ruled out of the competition, Australia have a bit of an inexperienced bowling line-up.
The Australian bowlers conceded 351 runs in 50 overs after opting to bowl first in the match with opening Ben Duckett smashing an astonishing 165 runs. Australia at one stage struggling to keep up in the match.
But then Josh Inglis played the heroic role for the Aussies. Inglis played a magnificent knock of unbeaten 120 runs off 86 balls. He was well supported by Alex Carey and Glenn Maxwell as Australia won the match by 5 wickets.
The Aussies play their next match of the tournament against South Africa on 25th February, needing just a win to secure qualification to the semi-finals.
