Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)’s new recruit Jitesh Sharma has stated that when the franchise start winning, they might win 5 IPL trophies in 5 years in a row.

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) is one of the founding member of the Indian Premier League (IPL) since the year 2008. However, despite 17 years of participating in the league, the franchise has failed to lift the IPL trophy even once.

The IPL 2025 season will be a new beginning for the RCB franchise that will now led by new captain Rajat Patidar after regular captain Faf du Plessis left the side ahead of the new season.

Meanwhile, the franchise has brought in India international wicketkeeper batter Jitesh Sharma to replace the recently retired Dinesh Karthik to fill in his role. Jitesh recently spoke on CricXtasy where he talked about the lack of trophies for the franchise.

As RCB is set to kick-start the IPL 2025 edition on 22nd March, Jitesh Sharma recently told to CricXtasy that it is just about a matter of time that RCB start winning IPL Trophy and once they start winning, he stated they might go on to win 5 trophies in a row.

“Once our time comes, RCB might win trophies for five years straight,” said Jitesh Sharma while talking to CricXtasy.

RCB to start IPL 2025 campaign on 22nd March

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will be involved in the opening day action of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. RCB will take on defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the opening match of the season at the Eden Gardens on 22nd March.

They will continue to be on the road for the next match against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on 28th March in Chennai. They will finally play their first home match at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on 2nd April vs Gujarat Titans. They will conclude the league phase 17th May vs KKR itself, this time in Bengaluru leg.
