WPL 2025 – Women Premier League 2025 is coming back for its consecutive third season. Administered by the BCCI(Board of Cricket Control in India), this season features a total of five franchise based teams. Starting on 14th February the league will host a total of 22 matches ending on 15 March 2025. 

This season will be a battle among five dynamic teams which will go against one another in a thrilling double round-robin format, where each team will face the others twice in a home-and-away structure.

After this the top three teams on the points table will go to the playoffs, where the team with maximum points gets a direct entry to the final and the rest two teams will get against one another to earn the other spot in the finals. 

The second and third-placed teams will compete in an intense Eliminator match, with the winner advancing to the ultimate showdown.

The team is going in for the league stage matches with a great squad filled with exceptional batters like Smriti  Mandhana as a captain and  includes other noticeable players like Sophie Divine, Richa Ghosh and definitely the last season breaker hit machine Ellyse Perry.

This franchise based tournament will go about playing around four venues Bengaluru, Lucknow, Mumbai and Vadodara. Following a schedule of 22 matches the teams will start in a league stage clash from 14 February and will end with its Final match on the 15 March.

The first match clash of the third season will start with defending champions going against Gujarat Titans on 14th February 2025.  As the defending champions, Royal Challengers Bengaluru will aim to retain their title, while the other teams will undoubtedly rise to the challenge, making this season a spectacle of skill, strategy, and sportsmanship.
