Australia’s 19-years-old batting sensation Sam Konstas has revealed that he has “no regrets” after his clash with Indian cricket team’s star batter Virat Kohli during his Test debut match in the Boxing Day Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-2025.

Sam Konstas made a memorable debut for Australia in the Red Ball cricket as he scored 60 runs off just 65 in his 1st inning while making his debut in the Boxing Day Test on 26th December. Konstas was highly impressive, especially the way he played some brilliant shots against number 1 bowlers Jasprit Bumrah.

But, Konstas was more talked about in media and fans not because of his brilliant debut, but his clash with star Indian batter Virat Kohli. While Konstas was looking good during his debut inning, Kohli barged shoulder with Konstas which instead of instilling fear, ignited fire in him.

This rivalry continued for the rest of series where we saw both the players hitting at each other, mocking one and other which made the India vs Australia even more spicy. This incident though draw a lot of criticism towards Virat Kohli from the local media.

Meanwhile, Sam Konstas recently revealed that he has no regret over his incident with Kohli. In an interview with the 7News in Australia, Konstas said, “No, I have no regrets. I like to live by that and it was so special. I’ve watched it so many times, I’m not going to lie.”

Sam Konstas is a Virat Kohli fanboy

Note that, Sam Konstas is a big Virat Kohli fanboy who himself admitted his admiration for the Indian batter during his U19 days. Virat Kohli is one of the biggest star of the game and is idolised by number of budding cricketers.

Virat Kohli is most famous for his aggressive demeanour on the pitch. Many fans also likens Konstas replicate the same for Australia going forward, who will also be now turning out for Australia in their Test series vs Sri Lanka starting later this month.
