South African batter David Bedingham is one crucial member of the Sunrisers Eastern Cape (SEC), helping the side to reach the SA20 2025 Final. The SA20 2025 grand finale is currently being played in Johannesburg on 8th February, 2025.

But, the South African batter had actually different plans for the day. David Bedingham was set to get married on this day with everything planned already, however, he had to postpone the wedding to the next day after his team Sunrisers Eastern Cape qualified for the SA20 2025 Final.

Firdose Moonda, ESPNcricinfo correspondent was quoted during the live commentary as saying, “The wedding was booked and planned but then SEC made the final, so now he has moved the wedding to… tomorrow.”

Meanwhile, the SA20 2025 season final match is being played between the MI Cape Town and the Sunrisers Eastern Cape at The Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.

The Sunrisers Eastern Cape is looking to complete the three-peat by winning the title three years in a row. On the other hand, the Rashid Khan led MI Cape Town is looking to make history and lift their first trophy and become the first team outside Sunrisers Eastern Cape to win the SA20 title.

It is the MI Cape Town captain Rashid Khan who won the toss and opted to bat first. The opening duo of Rassie van der Dussen and Ryan Rickelton gave the Cape Town a flying start. But, at the end of the powerplay, the MI Cape Town lost 2 wickets including that of Ryan Rickelton and Reeza Hendricks for the score of 52 runs. The inning is currently in progress.
