Sunrisers Hyderabad’s new pace bowler showed his power-hitting skills with the bat in hand

A new fast bowling addition in Sunrisers Hyderabad is trying his best to bring back his rhythm by giving outstanding performances in domestic cricket. We are talking about the Indian star pace bowler Mohammed Shami.
Shami had been away from competitive cricket since the final of the World Cup 2023 on November 19 and had an ankle injury for which he had to undergo surgery. Shami returned to the field in November last year.
He is currently playing in the Vijay Hazare Trophy for the Bengal team. Shami did well with the ball in the tournament, but in the last match against Madhya Pradesh, he performed brilliantly with the bat as well. He scored 42 runs in 34 balls with the help of five fours and one six.
In this match, Madhya Pradesh won the toss and elected to field first; Bengal gave them a suitable target of 270 runs. But thanks to Madhya Pradesh’s skipper Rajat Patidar’s brilliant inning of 132 runs, Bengal lost the match by 6 wickets. Shami took one wicket in this match.
Mohammed Shami was sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2025 Auction
A few months back, Sunrisers Hyderabad bought Mohammed Shami for 10 crores in the IPL 2025 Mega Auction. He was the Purple Cap winner with 28 wickets in IPL 2023 but missed the IPL 2024 season because of injury.
