Sydney Sixers Key Players BBL 2024/25
1. Steve Smith
One of the world’s best batsmen, Steve Smith brings match-winning experience and talent to the Sixers’ side. An anomaly in his relatively scarce games last season was not a good season for him. Smith scored 1026 runs with an average of 41 and a strike rate of 142; he has 2 centuries and 7 half-centuries during his BBL career, which speaks of the capability of the batter to nullify completely the BBL bowling attacks.
2. Sean Abbott
Sean Abbott, a seasoned all-rounder who has come out good for his side, made his name by producing quality death-over bowling and finishes. He had taken 11 wickets at an economy of 9.1 last season, which put him amongst the most effective bowlers in the tournament.

3. Mitchell Starc

4. Moises Henriques

5. Josh Philippe
Explosive opener and wicketkeeper Josh Philippe plays an important top-order role. With 257 runs last season, Philippe’s aggressive starts often set the tone for the Sixers, and his sharp glovework adds value behind the stumps. He has also scored 2200 runs and has 16 half-centuries in his BBL career.
